107: Christian at Two and a Half Months

He smiles now, this wedged o-shape, and giggles, especially if you make strange noises with your lips. He graced me with his after-meal three times, once incredibly my fault as you don't bounce a baby around after a meal, hold him up in the air, and not expect that lumpy detritus to come hurling down on your husband's honeymoon t-shirt. He has charmed me even more with his rubbery ears and soft skin, the tufts of baby hair leaving him balding in strange swaths, those wee hands and feet. And he is not a fussy baby; when he cries, he usually wants motion, the upright sway around the room. He was just as charmed by Ryan playing the guitar as I am, which is a good sign. But most, you know, I am enamored by this little boy, completely smitten, and amazed at that gorgeous woman who is his mama and my best friend.
