46: Percolate

Today was beautiful on many, many levels. And I would natter on about it for you, for me, but I am simply too exhausted and that pillow is beckoning me oh so sweetly. So as I said sleepily in the car on the way back to Cloquet: "I shall tuck it all away in the poetry part of my brain and let it percolate and report back to you tomorrow."

Let it be so.

Your photos are so lovely, I'm having a hard time picking a fave; I think it's the lighthouse. Thanks for sharing these, they are awesome.

molly,

When I read your posts and look at your pictures, you've often captured a feeling I remember having when I've been out-of-doors. I use this phrase too much, but it really feels this way---my heart swells. Am I getting all weepy and feminine? Swooning over dragonflies and lichens and elegant descriptions of things that I can observe as beautiful but have no way to communicate that beauty. I look so forward to your first book of collected words, as I know I will be able to read your words aloud to those that I teach in the future. Hugs to you!

I love seeing the world through your eyes. This is my first time in your blog, but it won't be the last.

That moose is tremendous! Were you so close or using the fabulous zoom? Magnificent either way.

Emily: It's a moose head mounted on a wall at the Split Rock Lighthouse. :) Very fierce, you know.
